Monterey installation

We were commissioned by Punga & Smith to design the interior graphics for Wellington’s über cool new bar Monterey. It it loosely based Kerouac book Big Sur (if you’ve read it you should pick out a few elements) coupled with a nod to the psychedelic movement of (there’s a fair bit of indulgence in the book) and a handful of freewheeling doodles. The illustrations were converted into stencils and the whole thing was then painted by a very helpful bunch indeed.
